About Abbie
Abbie is a contemporary dance artist originally from Norfolk.
After graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Abbie joined Stopgap through Northern School of Contemporary Dance’s Professional Placement Scheme in 2019. Continuing to work with Stopgap, Abbie has performed in productions for stage, outdoor, gallery and film. Including performing on the BBC for the Festival of Remembrance and being featured in a dance film that was awarded Best Dance Film at the Together Disability Arts Film Festival.
Abbie has also worked with Ascension Dance, Mercurial Dance, Turned On It’s Head and Scherzo Ensemble. Abbie blends her dance training with other skills, including Aerial Disciplines and Sign Spinning. She was part of the launch of Sign Spinning UK in March 2025.
Abbie is a patient, full of energy contemporary dancer, who excels at creating quirky and detailed movement. Her own practice is driven by the enjoyment of movement.
